REWIRE
NOT
RETIRE!

To get the most out of your retirement years, focus your attention on a little word "look." It occurs 176 times in Holy Scripture. I believe there is a message for us retirees. In our retirement we need to listen to how we can be "rewired." This happens when we follow the message of Scripture - how to look!

LOOK UP! see Jesus on whom your faith depends from start to finish and cling to it (Hebrews 12:2)

LOOK AHEAD! see where you are going as you run the race of life and persevere. (Philippians 3:14, 15a)

LOOK AROUND! see the wonders of the universe and enjoy. (Psalm 19:1)

LOOK OUT! see the temptations of life and resist them. (I Peter 5:8)

LOOK BACK! see how God has been with you in your life's journey and be thankful. (Deuteronomy 4:9 and Psalm 105:5)

LOOK BEYOND! see opportunities to volunteer your time and talents and gifts and be a participant. (Matthew 25:34-40, James 2:1, 14-17, Psalm 71:18)

Lois D. Knutson.
